President's Leadership Institute
The President's Leadership Institute (PLI) is a nine-month professional development opportunity for 91影视 employees. Participants will build relationships with colleagues and learn more about 91影视 and the higher education context in which 91影视 operates. Full鈥恉ay sessions are conducted by 91影视 Cabinet members and community leaders. The Institute agenda also includes a mini-retreat, campus visits, and an opportunity to attend Higher Education Day at the Capitol.
Purpose
91影视鈥檚 President鈥檚 Leadership Institute prepares the College鈥檚 faculty and staff for leadership responsibilities by providing participants with knowledge and leadership skills, as well as the perspectives of hiring committees in seeking candidates for leadership positions. The President鈥檚 Leadership Institute shapes the talent and drive already within its ranks of future leaders. The experience of working and learning together in the institute builds camaraderie and strengthens ties across departments, helping 91影视 to discover new opportunities and creative ways to serve students.
The institute builds collaborative skills, offers greater insight into the College鈥檚 operations, services, and programs, and influences the next generation of leaders to serve 91影视 students, the greater Tulsa community, and the vision of education nationwide.
Eligibility
Full-time employees who have worked at 91影视 in a full-time position for at least one year are eligible for nomination. The College seeks a diverse group of participants representing various campuses, multiple teaching disciplines, and staff from a wide range of programs, offices, and departments. Those selected are expected to commit to attending all sessions.
Nomination & Selection
91影视 Cabinet members will nominate individuals from their respective departments who demonstrate leadership potential and interest in engaging more with the College community. All nominations are submitted to the President & CEO for final selection. The Institute is open to all full-time 91影视 faculty and staff members, of all ranks, levels, and departments.

Delivery Methods & Format
Sessions are held once a month on Fridays, from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and participants will have readings and outside-class assignments. Classes will feature executives from within the College, the community, and our higher education partners to discuss issues facing the College or on the strategic horizon. The President鈥檚 Leadership Institute will select a new cohort each year, and each cohort is limited to 20-25 participants.
