About the Flight Instructor Certificate

Prepare for the Flight Instructor Certificate: Get the training needed to qualify for the FAA Certified Flight Instructor Pilot Certificate.

Take six courses for a total of 18 credit hours:

  • AVST 2283-Flight Physiology and Human Factors
  • AVST 2343-Flight Instructor Pilot Ground School
  • AVST 2353-Flight Instructor Pilot Flight Lab
  • AVST 2363-Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII)
  • AVST 2243-Commercial Multi-Engine Add-On
  • AVST 2553-Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)

Prerequisites: You must have an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating.
