1. Using Art to Provide Better Patient Care

   A new approach at 91Ó°ÊÓ blends art into academic learning with students in 14 Health Sciences programs such as Nursing, Respiratory Care, and Occupational Therapy. The program, being developed for 91Ó°ÊÓ called Visual Thinking Strategies, will be used by 91Ó°ÊÓ Health Sciences faculty and incorporated into the teaching curriculum in 91Ó°ÊÓ Health Sciences courses.

   The 2017 Ecofest offers something for everyone in the family from cooking demonstrations to presentations on protecting our environment, gardening and aquaponics. 5. Broken Arrow Fire Department Offers Internships for 91Ó°ÊÓ Students

   As part of an innovative new program, the Broken Arrow Fire Department and 91Ó°ÊÓ are launching a Fire and Emergency Medical Services internship for 91Ó°ÊÓ students. The interns are taking part of the 20-week Broken Arrow Fire Academy, in order to learn the skills needed to perform the duties of a firefighter as well as earning essential certifications for employment.
