New Series at 91影视 Opens Doors to Oklahoma鈥檚 Film Industry

With the rapid expansion of TV and film projects in Oklahoma and stars like Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese shooting feature films in Tulsa, 91影视 has focused its popular 鈥淚 Can鈥檛鈥 series on the film industry.

This free monthly series begins to answer how you can be an extra on a film set or how to act for the camera. 鈥淚 Can鈥檛: Film Edition鈥 opens the door to how everyday people can break into the industry.

鈥淲ith Oklahoma garnering attention from Hollywood as a prime filming location, we wanted to find a way to connect the community with opportunities to get involved,鈥 said Annina Collier, Dean and George Kaiser Family Foundation Endowed Chair of the Center for Creativity. 鈥淭hese free workshops will show you how to get started as you learn from national and local experts.鈥

Session topics include being an extra on set, shooting video with your camera, and more.

The 鈥淚 Can鈥檛: Film Edition鈥 workshops will be held via Zoom from 7 to 8:30 p.m. CST. All workshops are free and open to the public with the exception of 鈥淚 Can鈥檛 Tell a Story.鈥 The February workshop is presented in partnership with The Second City, the world鈥檚 premiere comedy club and school of improvisation, and has a limited capacity of 30 spots.
