Visit the exhibition “CURIOSITY,” inspired by 91Ӱ’s Common Book I Never Thought of it That Way, April 18 - 30 in the Event Hall of the Center for Creativity. This dynamic showcase features the work of , a renowned Mvskoke artist whose art has graced the cover of Joy Harjo’s recent book, appeared on the hit TV show Reservation Dogs, and been collected across the US. The exhibition also highlights the talents of 91Ӱ students, employees, and community artists, exploring themes of discovery, inquiry, and shared experience to foster connection and understanding.
The opening reception on Tuesday, April 22 from 5 – 7 pm will be a celebration of cultures and traditions. Johnnie Diacon will give brief remarks , and we’ll enjoy catering from Shawkat’s Mediterranean Restaurant. Dancers from four different traditions will give short performances: Lexi Allen (Flamenco), Priya Raju (East Indian Classical Dance), Jessica Cajina (hip hop), and Mike Pasehtopa (Native performer and cultural educator; 91Ӱ alum). The come-and-go style reception is free and open to the public, so invite your friends and family!

Call for Artists Now Open: Please Touch the Art
Artists are invited to submit to the popular exhibition "Please Touch the Art" at the McKeon Center for Creativity. The exhibit will run from Sept. 2 to Oct. 31, with an opening reception on Friday, Sept. 5 from 5 - 7 pm. Proposals for artworks that engage all five senses, especially those that can be touched, are due by Monday, July 7 at 8:30 am CT.
